Ingredients

2 cups plain flour, plus more for rolling

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon instant dry yeast

1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon anise seeds (optional)

3 tablespoons plain yogurt

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
-
¾ cup warm water (40°C)
-
2 tablespoons melted salted butter (for brushing)

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Make dough
-
Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and anise.

Add yogurt, oil, and water. Knead into soft dough.

Let rise for 1-1.5 hours.

Shape dough

Divide dough into 6 pieces.

Roll each into a ball, then flatten into 30x12 cm ovals.

Cook naan
-
Heat pan.
-
Cook each naan for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook 1-2 more minutes.

Brush with melted butter.

Serve
Sprinkle with parsley if using. Serve warm
