
Ingredients

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (55g)

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (200g)

1 pinch of salt

â…“ cup golden raisins (50g)

2 tbsp rum

4 apples

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ cup sugar (100g)

¼ cup slivered almonds (30g)

1 tsp vanilla extract

6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (90g)

¼ cup breadcrumbs (30g)

The dough

Combine melted butter, flour, salt, and lukewarm water. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

Cover dough with a towel and let it sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.

The filling

In a small bowl, soak raisins in rum for 30 minutes.

Peel and core apples, then cut into small strips.

Toss apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar, raisins (discard the rum), slivered almonds, and vanilla extract.

Roll dough

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Roll dough thin (55x40 cm) on a floured towel. Brush with melted butter.

Sprinkle breadcrumbs and top with apple filling, leaving a 5 cm margin.

Bake

Fold the dough over the filling, then roll up using the towel.

Transfer to a baking sheet, seam side down, and brush with butter.

Bake for 50 minutes, brushing with butter every 20 minutes.

Cool for 10 minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
