Dough

360mL (1 1/2 cups) lukewarm water

30mL (2 tablespoon) olive oil

7g (2 1/4 teaspoon) active dry yeast (one packet)

10g (2 teaspoon) kosher salt

8g (2 teaspoon) sugar

375–500g (3–4 cups) flour
Breadsticks

30mL (2 tablespoon) olive oil
-
450g (2 cups) pizza dough
-
60g (4 tablespoon) unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
10–15g (2–3 teaspoon) salt

1 teaspoon dried basil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine lukewarm water, olive oil, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Mix gently.

Gradually add flour while stirring until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. Knead by hand for 5–7 minutes, adding more flour if needed.

Drizzle the dough with olive oil, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (425 F). Roll the dough into a thick rectangle, about 3-4 cm thick and 20x30 cm.

Cut into 10 strips and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil.

Cooking the breadsticks

Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and fluffy.

Mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, basil, and garlic powder.

Brush warm breadsticks with garlic butter. Serve immediately.
